Because eyelash curlers may pull out or damage your lashes, you may be looking for a different technique to add some gorgeous curl to your lashes. The good news is that you don’t need an expensive gadget to achieve long-lasting curl that makes your eyes stand out. Curl your eyelashes with a spoon, mascara, or all-natural aloe-vera gel. Using heat, regardless of the treatment, helps the curl linger longer.
1. Using a Spoon to Curl Eyelashes


1. Take a clean spoon. Use a teaspoon-sized spoon rather than a big one. You want it to fit perfectly over your eye, with the spoon’s shape matching the contour of your eyelid.


2. Submerge it in boiling water. Warming the metal will improve the curl by transmitting heat to the eyelash hairs. It will curl your lashes like a curling iron. Once the spoon has been warmed up, it should be dried.


3. Place the spoon against your upper eyelid. Place it horizontally and softly against your lid. The bottom of the spoon should be against your eyelid, with the bowl facing out. Align the spoon’s edge with your top lash line.


4. Press your lashes into the spoon’s curvature. Press them over the side of the spoon and into the bowl with your finger. Hold them there for thirty seconds against the heated metal.
- Repeat with your other eye’s lashes. You may need to reheat the spoon before proceeding.
Tip: Take a look at the curl you made. Repeat the technique for another thirty seconds if you want a more defined curl. This approach may also be used to curl your bottom lashes.


5. Set the curl with mascara. Using clear or black mascara will assist the curl remain in place throughout the day.


6. While your mascara is still wet, carefully comb your lashes. If your lashes are clumping, use an eyelash comb to separate and define them. If you comb your hair too much, it will lose its curl.

2. Applying Mascara using a Cotton Swab


1. Mascara should be applied as usual. Depending on your liking, apply one or two coats. Continue without waiting for the mascara to dry; the curl has to be damp in order to hold.


2. Push your lashes upward with the plastic portion of a cotton swab. Hold it horizontally along your lash line and use it to curl your lashes. To curl your lashes upward, you may also use a cuticle pusher, an orange wood stick, or any long, thin object.


3. Maintain your position for at least thirty seconds. During this time, your mascara will dry, allowing your lashes to keep their curled structure.


4. Pass a hair dryer over your lashes. Using the warm or low setting, gently move the drier up and down, keeping the hair dryer at least six inches away from your face. Gently heating and drying the mascara will assist the curl remain in place for a longer period of time.
- Use the cool setting on your hair dryer instead of the hot one. The heated air may cause irritation to your eyes.
- If you’re pleased with the curl you get without using a hair dryer, you may skip this step.


5. Rep for the bottom lashes and the other eye. Maintain patience while holding the cotton swab in place. Allow the lashes to dry completely and the curl to solidify before removing them.

1. Begin by not using mascara on your lashes. This procedure is less messy if you start with clean eyelashes.
- Be aware that this procedure is ineffective and does not keep its form well when mascara is applied.


2. Warm up your fingertips. To heat them up, run them under warm water for a few minutes or rub them together.


3. Pull your lashes up. Wet your eyelashes, then use your pointer finger to press your eyelashes up against the top of your eye. Maintain your position for at least thirty seconds. Rep with your lower lashes and the other eye.


4. To fix the curl, apply two coats of mascara. Once your lashes are dry, add mascara and lift your lashes with the wand until the mascara is completely dry. 4. Using Aloe Vera Gel to Hold the Curl


1. Using your middle finger, apply a little amount of aloe vera gel. Rub your thumb and finger together to spread and warm the gel.


2. Apply the eyelash gel on your lashes. Slowly shut your eye over your thumb while holding your thumb beneath your eyelashes. Hold your lashes lightly and run your fingertips over them. Repeat many times to ensure that the gel is fully applied.


3. Curl your lashes by pushing them up. Push your fingertip horizontally beneath your eyelashes and up against your lid. While the aloe vera gel dries, hold the posture for at least thirty seconds. Rep for the bottom lashes and the other eye.
- If you gently glide a heated hair drier over your lashes while holding them in place, the curl will linger longer. Make careful you utilize the warm setting rather than the hot.
